When people who drank five or more glasses of water were compared to people who drank two or less glasses of water each day, it was found that men were 46 percent less likely and women were 59 percent less likely to develop a heart attack. It was found that women who did not drink any water had a 147 percent higher risk of getting a heart attack, and men who did not drink water had a 46 percent higher risk of getting a heart attack.
