Here is how to make sure people won’t hold their noses when you take off your shoes:

1-Wash your feet daily with warm, soapy water and dry well, especially between the toes, and change your socks at least once a day, wear cotton socks preferably for circulation.

2-Take a 10 minute footbath with spruce needles, cider vinegar or table salt (½ cup/125 mL of each per 1 quart/liter of water) to nix sweaty feet.

3-Make a black tea footbath, just pour one quart/ liter of boiling water over four teabags, steep and then add cold water in a foot basin until the temperature is right.
