Cucumber Yogurt Dish

The ingredients required for this dish are: Yogurt (2 cups), Cucumber (1 cup), Peppermint (2 pinches), Raisins (1 cup), Walnuts (1 cup), Dill (1 pinch), Salt (1 or 2 pinches) and Pepper (1 pinch). Each of these ingredients are very nourishing in their own way:

Yogurt, According to a recent Harvard study; Yogurt is a Probiotic that helps with weight loss while providing us with 40% of your daily required protein. Also is very good for your digestive system.

How to lose weight with yogurt

Cucumber, This super fruit is a good source of Vitamin B & C; it Rehydrates the body while helping eliminate toxins with it’s high level of minerals. Cucumber is also known for it’s amazing Cancer fighting powers.

Peppermint, is often linked to weight loss and is considered a natural appetite suppressant while it does wonders for your digestive system.

Raisins, The Sugar content in raisins is very high and is surprising to some; how good they actually are for weight loss and help many in achieving their weight loss goals. They are a good source of antioxidants, Vitamins and Fiber also because of the high Sugar content they help stabilize the blood sugar levels in the body.

 

Walnuts, Are a powerhouse of nutrients and full of healthy lean Protein; it reduces Cholesterol and enhances Heart Health. They are also considered the ultimate brain food.

Preparation:

Mix all the Ingredients mention above in a big bowl, you can chill for a few minutes before serving this dish.

Traditionally this Persian dish is served as a side dish however, new generation Persians are serving this dish as a main dish because these days everybody is more health conscious and really into looking their best and being healthy.
