Day 3 Physical Challenge - Gotta Dance!

When was the last time you went dancing? Or danced alone? It is so fun, we often forget how much fun we have doing it until we are doing it again. Think of nights with the girls, dancing and laughing up a storm, or that date when you were magically dancing together to the music. It’s not hard, all you have to do is move your booty a little!

I like being home alone, turning on the radio, and just dancing, it’s fun! When my kids were little they danced all over the house with me, it’s a great bonding tool, great exercise, and can encourage frequent bouts of laughter. Dancing burns from 240-640 calories an hour, depending a lot on how much you move and type of dance, there is a helpful guide here – http://calorielab.com/burned/?mo=se&gr=03&ti=Dancing&wt=150&un=lb&kg=68

This is also a great time to learn a new dance, can you think of a better one? Free videos are available with steps and instructions for The Wobble, The Cupid Shuffle, ballroom dancing, country line dancing, and many more. Personally I love zumba, I can’t do it for a long time, and I wear a hip belt, but it’s great exercise and great fun. Dancing also raises your endorphins and feels so good it doesn’t really feel like exercise.

Wherever you are, whatever type of music you like and dancing you enjoy, there is something out there for you, go find it and dance, dance, dance!
