Top 10 Best Places to Live in the U.S. for Couples

So now your officially a couple and want to start some roots. Well, look no further, for this article will tell you where all the hot spots are for couples living.

Well, as you could guess, many of the places that I’m going to list are none other but the south! Can’t beat the sunny days and mild winters to live year round! So, here it goes:

• Houston, TX
• Dallas, TX
• Seattle, WA
• Washington, D.C.
• San Jose, CA
• San Diego, CA
• Raleigh, NC
• Charlotte, NC
• Tulsa, OK
• Minneapolis, MN

Best Places to Live in the U.S. for Couples

As you can see, there are some states that constantly make the list. In particular, Texas and California tend to be hot spots every year. Both Houston and Dallas were mentioned here, but another very active and spontaneous city for couples is Austin, Texas. But any of these places is an excellent option, depending on your lifestyle. For example, Austin is well known for its art and music life. Dallas is huge in the sports department and Houston is known for its wealth of cultural attractions like museums, art galleries and the farmers’ markets. Another awesome advantage for young couples in Texas is the fact that the cost of living is very cheap compared to many other places in the U.S. As for the weather, well, if you don’t mind the hot, hot summers, Texas is an excellent place to set down some roots. The evenings are very lovely and an excellent time to take walks or eat dinner on the patio of some nice cafe or restaurant.

Another hot spot for couple living is California. Most of the places in California that are considered good beginnings for new couples are in the southern part of California. However, California is well known for its very high property prices. If you have some nice high paying white collar, techy job, then this could be a good option for you. However, if you are just an elementary teacher, you may struggle to have everything you want. But no one can beat the climate of California. San Diego and San Jose have very pleasant weather conditions year round and of course, can’t beat the option of going to the beach every day!

Next on the list is North Carolina. Beautiful scenery, luscious landscapes and the Atlantic coast at your fingertips. Raleigh has been named one of the best cities to live in for many years. It continues to remain in the top ten due to its affordability and openness to new, young couples. The weather is also very pleasurable with mild temperatures all year long. There is a change of season but much less drastic then the north.

There are several other places that I didn’t go into detail, but you can check them out yourself. If your looking to start new roots somewhere and like the city life, check out the places above. I’m sure you’ll fall in love again! But this time, it will be your home!
