Pink Slime
Pink slime can be found in a lot of processed fast food meat like chicken nuggets and hamburgers. Pink slime is a processed beef product that was originally used in pet food and cooking oil and later approved for public consumption.

Coal Tar
Coal tar is a brown or black liquid of extremely high viscosity. Coal tar is among the by-products when coal is carbonized to make coke or gasified to make coal gas. Coal tars are complex and variable mixtures of phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and heterocyclic compounds.
This product is also known or labeled as “Allura Red AC” and is listed among the “dangerous goods” identified by the UN. It’s used to dye certain candy, soda, and other food products red.

Borax
Maybe you have seen borax in some of your favorite household cleaners, Borax has a wide variety of uses. It is a component of many detergents, cosmetics, and enamel glazes, but it is also used in caviar as a preservative.

Phosphoric Acid
Phosphoric acid is a clear, colorless, odorless, liquid with a syrupy consistency, used as an acidifying agent to give colas their tangy flavor and acidity

Sawdust
Wood dust is a by-product of cutting, grinding, drilling, sanding, or otherwise pulverizing wood, into ground-up bits. Manufacturers put it in shredded cheese to keep the shreds from sticking together. Also labeled as cellulose.

Calf Stomach
Processed calf stomachs are also called rennet and they’re used to help turn milk into cheese.

Sand
Labeled as silicon dioxide, you can find sand in fast food products like Wendy’s chili.

Duck Feathers and Human Hair
Many big-label bagged bread companies cook down human hair and duck feathers into an amino acid and use it in many products.

Sheep’s Oily Secretions
In the ingredients, it’s listed as lanolin, look for it the next time you buy gum, or even better…not buy. Apparently sheep’s oily secretions make it softer and easier to chew.

Beaver secretions
Anal gland secretions and urine to be exact, it’s called castoreum and you can check for it in the ingredients of certain brands of vanilla ice cream and almost every raspberry-flavored food.
