Pregnancy Complications in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, complications during pregnancy and childbirth are 200 times more likely to kill a woman than bullets of bombs. More than 350000 women around the world — an average of 1000 a day — die of complications of pregnancy and childbirth; and when a mother dies, her child is dramatically more likely to die before the age of 5.
