Miracles Happen: Amazing Strides with Alzheimer’s
Old Man In Nursing Home Reacts To Hearing Music From His Era

This is one of the most amazing and emotional videos I’ve ever seen! A true miracle. We’ve published before the stories of how music and dance can restore some lost brain function. For example, we’ve shared a story of a young adult with cerebral palsy whom after attending dance classes can walk and dance.
Now in this amazing video, you’d see that even an “irreversible” disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease may have alleviation of symptoms by the super-power of music:

Thanks to the power of music, Henry, an elderly Alzheimer’s patient described by his doctors as “inert, maybe depressed, unresponsive and almost unalive,” is finally able to speak to his loved ones.

Henry, who has been a resident at the Cobble Hill Health Center for 10 years, rapidly “awakens” when he hears songs that have a strong emotional connection to his life before Alzheimer’s.

Henry suddenly becomes responsive to questions, hums, sings and dances. In a very real sense, he has been brought back to life by the music.
If you have heard of such surprising stories, please share it with us!
