Have you looked in the mirror and seen a zombie instead? Happens to me all the time and in many cases dark circles are inherited, so if your parents have them, you’ll probably have them too. There are many things that can cause dark circles under the eyes, such as lack of sleep, allergies or even just aging, but the truth is any swelling under the eye can accentuate the skin folds, creating a dark shadow, but don’t stress out; here are some natural ways to lighten up:
Natural eye creams or gels containing horse chestnut or butcher’s broom promote circulation, helping to banish circles under your eyes

Mix 1 tbsp. of egg white mixed with 3 tbsp. of plain yogurt to make a freshening eye mask. Dab onto the circles under your eyes and let the mask dry, then rinse with warm water.
To make an invigorating eye compress, pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tsp. each of eyebright and linden flowers. Steep for five minutes and strain. Moisten two cotton pads or balls with the cooled liquid and place onto your closed eyes for a few minutes
Place fresh, cold cucumber slices onto your eyelids.
Lack of sleep causes swelling in the skin under the eyes, get at least 8 hours of rest every night.
Dark circles under a child’s eyes, especially if female, may be sign of chronic bacterial infection of the urinary tract, drink plenty of cranberry juice.
