Take a walk

Simply taking a walk helps manage stress. Get out and let your feet take you somewhere. Apart from being great aerobic exercise, it gives you the opportunity to clear your head and take a break from life’s hectic situations.

Take a hot bath

A hot bath sometimes acts as a surprise kick. It gives your body a kicking sensation which in turn kicks your mind as well. Add a few bubbles and a few candles to your bathroom to create that ultimate soothing environment. It not only refreshes the body but also replenishes the mood of a person.

Call a friend.

We all have some people in our lives that can make us smile even in tears. Someone whose voice alone sets the mood right. Give a ring to one of your best friends and recall the good times that you have spent together. Share a joke or a funny story or simply listen to what they have got to say. This will most likely put a smile on your face. After all, what are friends for?

5 Easy Stress Busters

Listen to soft music

Music has the ability to combat stress. Listening to soft soothing music helps relax the mind and body. It takes your mind away from stress and slowly calms the nerves. Just tune up your IPod and listen to your favourite music while you’re in your car or half an hour before going to sleep.

Meditation and yoga

Meditation and yoga work tremendously to get rid of stress. Take deep breaths for few minutes. Hold one side of your nose and take a long deep breath through the other. This is known as “KAPAL BHARTI” in Ayurveda. Along with numerous health benefits, it helps to relieve stress and tension from the body.
