10 Super-foods Your Kids Will Eat

Your child’s nutrition is extremely important and its even more important that you start as early as possible, often kids develop contempt towards vegetables. Start now!

1. Oatmeal
Since oatmeal breaks down slowly to give continual bursts of energy over a long period of time, kids who start their day with oatmeal concentrate better in school all day.

2. Cinnamon
This tasty spice regulates blood sugar, which will keep your kids’ energy from crashing after breakfast in the middle of a school day, and it goes perfect with their morning oatmeal

3. Eggs
Eggs offer protein, and they’re one of the few foods that naturally contain vitamin D, which helps the body absorb calcium. Eating protein at breakfast also helps kids feel satisfied longer.

4. Basil
It might sound difficult giving this to your kids and them actually liking it, but this kid’s super food packs a lot of nutritional punch such as vitamins A, C and K, iron, potassium and calcium. Toss it on pasta sauces, pizza, and other yummy kid favorites and they won’t even notice.

Make sure a black bean with fresh veggies dip is not missing from the next party, they will love it! Remember creativity is a plus, so play with presentation too.

7. Low-Fat Greek Yogurt
It contains healthy bacteria known to boost immunity and aid digestion, and has two to three times the amount of protein and less sugar than regular yogurt. Add a drizzle of honey for sweetness or a bit of maple syrup, and they will come begging for more.

8. Cocoa
A cup of hot organic cocoa promotes oral health and helps to protect delicate skin from sun damage over time, and there is no way they will say no to a delicious glass of healthy chocolate, you can also sprinkle cocoa powder on fruit, snacks and desserts for a healthy punch of flavor.

9. Avocado
Teach your kids some Spanish with a big bowl of Mexican guacamole, Avocados are full of that good fat your kids need to enhance growth development.

10. Fruit
There is no surprise in here, since we all know about the huge amount of health benefits fruits provide to us and especially to kids. Introduce your kids to a daily fruit plate at a young age and they will probably continue the habit into adulthood.
