Why This Gorgeous 29 Year Old Woman Is Ending Her Life

Brittany Maynard is a brave young woman who has found herself in the most tragic of circumstances. Right after her wedding, she began to experience terrible headaches and went to get some testing done. Her diagnosis was like a nightmare…terminal brain cancer. After surgery and another round of tests, it was discovered that the brain tumor had progressed into stage 4 glioblastoma.

As her condition worsened, Brittany’s most terrifying thought was that she would be unable to control the circumstances of her own death. She’d heard about what some brain cancer sufferers had been through at the end of their lives, and she didn’t want to experience the same fate. She and her family made the difficult decision to move to Oregon, a state in which laws allow people to obtain medication to end their lives on their own terms. Brittany has chosen November 1 to be her last day here.
