Your Handy Guide To Vitamins

Our body needs 13 vitamins: vitamins A, C, D, E, K and the B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 and folate). Other than vitamins D and K that can be produced in the body, all other vitamins have to be absorbed from food.

Today, vitamin deficiency is found all around the world even in developed countries such as the United States. In the United States, 90% of Americans have a potassium deficiency, 80% don’t get enough vitamin E, 70% need more calcium, and the list goes on and on.
